I wanted to touch upon something I think is a pretty good topic
considering most of the people I talk with completely forget about it.
When you are dealing with suppliers you need to remember you have
options and its not like a marriage, and you are a one
dropshipper
business. Your bottom line in business is the profit margin you have.
If you are dealing with a supplier that is making it hard for you to
have bigger margins then it may be time to start looking for a new
dropshipping company.
Let me give you an example. For about two
years I was using a manufacturer that slowly kept raising thier prices
on me until I finally realized I no longer was able to sell my products
due to my supplier. My dropshipping company had taken me for granted
and the business I was bringing them. I had really good traffic to my
sites and even better rankings on all major search engines, but no
sales and it was all because of pricing. I even stopped selling on
Amazon because the prices were ridiculas.
I went searching
for another dropshipping company that had my products. I was abe to
negotiate easier because I showed them my stats including traffic,
rankings and other various analytics, and by the time my conversation
was done they were eating out of my hands and wanted me to sell thier
products. I was able to get better pricing on my products then when I
first started so many years ago.
SO my point here is to make you
aware that even if you are already using supplier companies that
dropship you have options and can always find a better deal.
