If you have followed search engine optimization at all then you probably have heard about how important good unique content is when it comes to ranking on search engines - especially Google.  I have talked many times on this blog about how important coming up with unique content is for your product descriptions.  There could be a thousand other people out there that are selling the exact same products as you, and what if they just copy and paste the description (same one you got) into their website.   There can tend to be a ton of duplicate content on the search engines, and you probably will not rank that well for your products.  

Is there a way around this if I am not a good content writer?  Yes.

I would suggest looking into a freelance writing sites such as; Elance, Guru or Get A Free Lancer.  These places are fairly in-expensive for what you get out of them.  Getting an account is free, and posting a job is free so you have nothing to lose, even if you find out your job costs more then your budget.  You do not have to pay until you accept a bid. 

It is so important that, YES I would suggest you get your descriptions changed by a professional writer if you can't do it yourself.  Remember to give them your keywords that you want to be found for, so they have something to run with when "mixing" up the descriptions and making them yours.
