My understanding is that importing your items to Bonanzle simply copies the items from eBay. I’m sure you’ve already read this article on Bonanzle “All There Is To Know About Importing From EBay”. You’ll notice that near the bottom of the page there is a question from garagecat and answer from Bonanzle:

“Q. What happens if at the exact same time someone places a bid on an eBay item, and someone places a buy on the same item on Bonanzle? A. Though rare, it does happen. As a seller I would be honest and let the eBay buyer down easy. Then I would celebrate the extra profit you just made by selling it at Bonanzle ”

This leads me to believe that your eBay listings remain active on eBay after you import them onto Bonanzle. I think it’s a simple copy, not a removal. Remember too, Bonanzle only imports active listings, not closed unsold eBay listings.

Your Re-seller’s License is purely to allow you to purchase products for resale without having to pay taxes on them. Your Re-Seller’s License allows you to purchase from legitimate dropshippers who generally require it. If you are fortunate to already have great dropshippers who do not require it, than a Re-Seller’s permit may not be strictly necessary for you, but I would still get one because it is quite easy and inexpensive and would ensure that your business is legal and above-board. If you happen to want to switch dropshippers in the future, it would also be nice to have it handy.

As for Asian knock-offs, they generally are illegal. People do indeed get away with selling them, but they risk being sued, incurring fines and even jail time. The laws have some slight gray areas – for instance, you have probably seen the purses in kiosks in the mall that are a clear imitation of Louis Vuitton purses. Since they are not marketed as LV, the name is not used anywhere, and they are “imitations” “inspired by”, they apparently have not yet been sued. But you flirt with lawsuits every time you sell a fake product, or at the very least risk being banned from sites like eBay or receiving negative customer feedback. I would stay far away from that.

I tend to agree that finding a nice little niche is a good idea. Customers in the groups you listed above are likely to be passionate about what they do, and can be fiercely loyal if you take care of them. Absinthe accessories… who would’ve thought? I love it haha!

By the way, your 100% positive feedback with 670 customers is truly commendable. I suppose you could mention that in your Bonanzle listings, “eBay PowerSeller with 100% perfect feedback”, even though it’s feedback from a different site. I think it’s something that would help make customers more comfortable purchasing from you, until you’re well-established on Bonanzle.
