Who Do You Talk To When You Call A Potential Drop Shipper?
I have been getting really good feedback from users of The Shipper, as well as friends and business partners with specific dropshipping questions they want answered. You are going to be seeing a series of these that I will tag “drop ship questions”, so you can reference them in the future with ease. Thanks to everyone who has submitted questions, and of course I am always looking to answer as many questions as I possibly can, so feel free to submit any questions you may have about dropshipping to any post that I have tagged “drop ship questions”. The first question that I want to answer in this new series is:
“Who do you talk to when you call a potential dropshipper”?
It may be interesting for you to find out that these supplier companies may not be as big as you think, so don’t be intimidated. In most cases many of the suppliers that I have worked out the best relationships only have maybe 5-10 employees, (a couple people running the business – admins, and the rest warehouse workers – fulfilling the orders). So, the best answer I can give you for this question is not cut and dry (sorry). Most of the time you can’t go wrong if you ask to speak with the owner, person in charge of “new accounts”, or someone familiar with setting up a dropshipping relationship.
The thing that is nice for those that already have access to The Shippers dropship directory list, is that everybody on our list is very familiar with exactly what dropshipping is. They have systems set in place already, and you will not have to waste time educating them as to what dropshipping is.
Again, for me, the one person that I have talked to when trying to establish the relationship that has never failed me is, the owner. If you just ask to speak with the owner they will help you, or give you the best possible person that will help you. If the owner is not around, (which you will come across quite often) then just ask to talk with someone who can help you set up a “dropshipping relationship”, and they will know what you are wanting.
